At Destination Living we believe that environmental sustainability and energy efficient building principles are integral to “good design” with the intention to improve quality of life to enjoy now and into the future.

Our aim is to design for the climate and for comfort in response to our client’s needs, and having researched and visited the specific site, to optimize the home’s orientation whilst capturing the best aspects of the site and surrounding views.

Working closely with the design team, our clients are advised of design solutions that can reduce their home’s running costs, minimising energy and water use, such as increasing access to natural daylight and selecting suitable energy efficient products and water saving options.

These solutions work hand in hand to minimise the building’s environmental impact. Through good design and energy efficiency planning, we are able to offer our clients environmentally sustainable homes that achieve energy ratings that exceed the minimum 6 star rating on AccuRate Sustainability a NaTHERs accredited software.

Starting a big project such as designing and building your "dream home" is always going to oppose some challenges, simply due to the many variables and external factors that are involved and fundamentally in my opinion everything comes down to people. From the first phone call I knew that we made the right decision to engage the team at Destination living. This is the first time my wife and I have embarked on a project of this scale and I have to say that Mike, John, Grace and the extended team have been nothing short of brilliant. We are constantly kept in the loop at every aspect of the project and the team has been completely transparent. Whilst we are still facing some challenging phases, we are extremely confident and excited at the same time.Mike, John, Grace, we would like to wholeheartedly thank you very much for playing a huge part and creating the house of our dreams.

I count it one of my very lucky days when my daughter and I stopped to speak to Peter from “Destination Living” at their display area in the Home Show about 3 years ago. My “grand plan” was that in maybe 2 years’ time to have a new home built for myself, in Heathmont. After looking for about 12 months I found the block of land I wanted and I straight away gave Peter a call to reintroduce myself to him and to find out what I needed to do next, before actually paying the balance of money for the land. Peter couldn’t have been more helpful, within 2 days I had a soil test and arborist’s report done, by companies recommended by Peter.All the services that “Destination Living” offered – applying for permits, designs, plans etc., were exactly what I was after, and all within the same office. Right from the start I felt so confident with all their guidedance and advice. Any changes I made along the way were never any trouble to implement. They even recommended the building company to me and I have found Adam extremely professional to work with.My total dealings with “Destination Living” have been amazing, with all their suggestions, advice and help – where they do everything required to make your dream home a reality.I would like to thank everyone most sincerely, who had anything to do with my home project,
